Lydia Martin is an individual with a desire to inspire. Having lived and worked in Bahrain for over 12 years as a music and drama teacher, performance coach, workshop leader and entrepreneur. Lydia has used her skills to inspire people from all walks of life to reach their potential. Lydia is an inspirational leader focused on discovering the gold in people. As a performance and vocal coach, singer, songwriter, composer, poet, trainer and educator, Lydia uses her skills to inspire young people and adults to pursue their ambitions and reach for the sky!
Through corporate team building experiences such as hand drumming, vocal enhancement and dynamic performance workshops, Lydia uses theatre skills to enhance personal and team identity, performance, motivation and image. During her time in Bahrain Lydia has developed innovative curriculum and training programs both in the education sector and the private sector. Lydia has trained and prepared students for scholarships, entrance examinations, university and performing arts schools across the globe. Having been Director and Founder of the Sar Music Centre MASK (Music And Stage for Kids), and now Inspire, as well as Director of Performing Arts at the British School of Bahrain, Lydia has a wealth of experience at building tailor made events, corporate and leadership training, and courses for adults and students alike. As a graduate of the University of London, UK Lydia holds both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees and before leaving UK in 2002 was a successful composer writing for BBC Singers amongst others. Through her many managerial posts Lydia has fostered a servant-leadership management style incorporating the four fundamental principals of effective leadership; co-ordination, co-operation, communication & commendation.
